AI SUPER POWERS by Kai-Fu Lee
This book is really cool in leading you to be amazed by how AI is progressing!
Since that “sputnik” moment when AlphaGo defeated to one of the best Go players in the world 😱 AI (and mainly with Deep Learning techniques) has become more present in our daily life such as voice smart assistants, recommendation systems, advanced language translation, so on.
Key ideas/sharing:
- where are we today in means of… automation (thanks Deep Learning!)
- it is AI a “new threat”? maybe this will lead us to the “new world order”
- about job’s automations! what will happen to current jobs that might be easy to automate?
- what makes human “irreplaceable” The author leads us to think about what makes us humans, which skills will not be possible to automate?
- more power implies more responsibility

HUMAN COMPATIBLE by Stuart Russell
This book “kind of” worried me and lead me to think over about the future we are building! Anyway, it is super cool 🤓
Key ideas/sharing:
- what does it mean “intelligence”? why/how humans are intelligent? what kind of “intelligent” machines we are building today?
- what went wrong while building intelligent machines? how we can fix it?
- what kind of problems arose from these intelligent machines? what applications are we having today with our “smart stuff”?
- let’s think in a different way about AI! intelligent machines should help humans to achieve their objetives (human objetives)
- “we will need to become good at being human”
