According to statistics from the US Census Bureau, 70% of young adults who grew up in America’s Finest City lived at home in San Diego during their childhood. These numbers show where people moved from 16-26.

So what about the other 30%? Where did they go? By far, the most populated area was our neighbor to the north, Los Angeles, where 7.1% of San Diego’s diaspora lived. The City and the Bay were also attractive: 2.0% of San Diego moved north to San Francisco.
