OK, then San Diego may not be the first picture that comes to mind when you dream of an amazing winter landscape. But just because we don’t have a lot of natural snow or ice pool, that doesn’t mean we can’t create our own cold weather magic.
To get the spirit of this year’s holiday, take a look at these three outdoor ice rinks in the sunny San Diego season.
Liberty Station

Freedom Station’s schedule is full of seasonal events – from holiday markets to “Nutcracker Tea Party” – but my favorite local is Rady Children’s Rink. Now in its 25th year, the ice has been introduced in collaboration with the NTC, with funding benefiting from the Thriving After Cancer program at Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Problems at Rady Children’s Hospital. Stay tuned for updates on special events like Gulls Night, iHeart Rady Children’s Night and Rady Children’s Day.

Hotel del Coronado

Taken between the ocean view and the famous venue, the beach hotel of the Hotel del Coronado is a snow experience in San Diego. When you need an ice break, book a place on the Frostbite Lounge to enjoy drinks, bites, fireflies and a comfortable seat. Part of the proceeds from “Skating by the Sea” – which is part of its Holiday Home program – will be donated to the Make-A-Wish-Foundation San Diego.

Viejas Casino & Resort
Too big or go home! Head to Alpine to meet Viejas Casino & amp; The largest ice rink self-proclaimed Resort in Southern California.
