He led the country with 2,628 yards on 232 carriers and 35 TDs in 16 games. He averaged 11.3 yards in carry and had a hundred yards or more running in 12 games, including a top 442 yards career and 6 TDs against the Orange Lutheran in the Southern California game. He signed the National Letter of Intent to play in San Diego State.

A week later, he won the State Division IV Contestant, running a second-fastest day of the day over the 3.1-mile Woodward Park course in Fresno.
