Start Thanksgiving Day with some exercise! Father Joe’s Villages’ Turkey Trot 5K is back for its 20th year. A special edition of Comic-Con – a scaled-down fall face-to-face event – will take place this weekend. The event will be filled with panels, special guests, film screenings, games, book signings and collectible purchases. And don’t miss the Masquerade Suit Competition in Ballroom 20 on Saturday night, which gives participants a chance to showcase their creativity and win prizes. Friday to Sunday. San Diego Virtual Jazz Fest and Swing Extravaganza
If it’s Thanksgiving weekend, that means it’s time for the San Diego Jazz Fest, one of the oldest jazz and swing festivals in the country. But…don’t put on your dancing shoes yet – this year’s event is once again going virtual. During the weekend, you can watch performances broadcast by groups such as High Society Jazz Band, Mad Hat Hucksters and Sue Palmer & amp; Your motel rocking orchestra. Throughout the day from today to Sunday. Donations are welcome. The performances will be available to watch at sdjazzfest.org.
